Current Event 5/16/08

In the news lately there were a few stories on the House Of Yahmeh. The arrests that were made with regards to reports of young girls being impregnated by older men, and polygamy charges (this was only some of the atrocities going on in the house). Many of the girls where brainwashed in to believing that it was the right thing to do (marry an older man, and be the mother of his babies). Just today the lead pastor of this group was arrested on charges of polygamy. Although sex with minors is also a plausible charge. The 73-year-old Ysrayl Bill Hawkins was arrested for the second time on charges of polygamy, at his personal complex in Abilene, Texas. He was also suspected in preaching his followers to deny the fact that they have more than one wave(s).
These sorts of acts are a huge disgrace to the “honest” American and Churchgoers. It is sad that although we have come so far technologically, mentally, etc. we cannot shake these twisted thoughts that some have engraved in their minds.
